Cullingworth Conservative Club welcomes Craig Anthony, vocal comedy entertainer on Saturday evening. The Haleys, a local award-winning band will make an appearance on Saturday, February 22.

Cullingworth Gardening Club meets next Wednesday at 7.30pm, Methodist Church, off Greenside Lane to hold the AGM, followed by Maggie Mitchell who will present an armchair walk around York Gate Garden. Cullingworth Supper Club will meet on Thursday, February 20 at 7.30pm at the Methodist Church, Dellside Fold, when Ken Robertshaw will give an illustrated talk on his epic journey as part of an expedition to drive a dog sled team across northern Norway, Finland and Sweden, 350 kilometres across the Arctic Circle. He took the chance to raise funds for the Theodora Children’s Trust, a small charity that provides “giggle doctors” to help cheer up seriously ill children during their hospital stay. He has written a book, “Six dogs, a sled and me!”, from which all profits will go to the fund. Ken is no stranger to charitable work, having been involved in driving aid lorries to Romania and loading containers of medical equipment destined for Africa. It promises to be an interesting evening. Everyone very welcome, £2 including supper.

To mark the start of Fairtrade Fortnight Harden and Wilsden Churches Together will host a Fairtrade Festival. This will take place in St Matthew’s Church, Wilsden, on Saturday, February 22 from 10am-12.30pm. Entry is free. Refreshments will be served.
