Cullingworth Supper Club meets tonight, 7.30pm at the Methodist Church, Dellside Fold, when Ken Robertshaw will give an illustrated talk on his epic journey as part of an expedition to drive a dog sled team across northern Norway, Finland and Sweden, 350 kilometres across the Arctic Circle in aid of the Theodora Children’s Trust, a small charity that provides “giggle doctors” to help cheer up seriously ill children during their hospital stay. He has written a book “Six dogs, a sled and me!” from which all profits will go to the fund. It promises to be an interesting evening. Everyone very welcome, £2 including supper.

Cullingworth Conservative Club welcomes The Haleys, a local award-winning band on Saturday evening.

The Harden Players will be performing their panto, Jack and the Beanstalk, tonight, tomorrow and on Saturday. Evening performances start at 7.30pm and a matinee on Saturday at 2pm. Tickets for tonight will be £5 and all other performances £6, available at the newsagents in the village post office.

Cullingworth History Group meets next Wednesday, 7.30pm at the Methodist Church, Dellside Fold, when Susan Hart will present a talk and slide presentation on “The History of St Ives Estate”.
