One of Keighley’s busiest roads is partially closed this week.
A section of Bradford Road, between the Toby Carvery – formerly the Beeches Hotel – and the Emily Street junction, is shut in one direction for resurfacing.
Traffic heading into Keighley is being diverted via Wenning Street and Dalton Lane. Vehicles travelling out of the town are unaffected.
The closure, between 9.30am and 3.30pm, began on Monday and is due to end tomorrow.
Bradford Council said all businesses and residents on the section of road were informed, and buses were using the diversion route.
Coun Val Slater, the council’s executive member for housing, transport and planning, said: “We have tried to keep disruption to a minimum by only closing one side of the road and carrying out this essential work during the half-term holiday and at off-peak times.”
