In order to save about £200,000 during the next few years, Bradford Council plans to reduce the opening times at the eight household waste/recycling centres across the district.
I have a better plan. At each centre, there is a ‘permit checker’ on daily duty. Let’s assume that each ‘permit checker’ earns at least £15,000 a year. That totals £120,000 a year, or £240,000 over two years. Do I need to say what my better plan is?
