Landlady Karen Ward is swapping Cullingworth pub The Flappit to take to the water down in Bingley.
She and husband, Jeremy Lund, are moving from the moortop to run The Fisherman’s Inn, which sits right beside the Leeds-Liverpool Canal.
And after two successful years making The Flappit one of the area’s most popular pubs, Mrs Ward said they are ready for a new challenge.
“We’ve really enjoyed being up here and made some nice friends, but it felt right to make a change,” she said.
And so they are leaving the pub, which is owned by Bradford City joint chairman, Mark Lawn, and heading for the Enterprise-owned Fisherman’s.
“The Fisherman’s has got a great location right beside the canal,” Mrs Ward, who is pictured with daughter, Lisa, 24, a part-time barmaid, who will be helping get the pub ready for customers.
