The organiser of a successful Keighley charity football tournament plans to stage the event again this spring.

Ingrow resident Darren Gilmartin arranged the 2013 five-a-side event in aid of the British Heart Foundation.

Mr Gilmartin survived a heart attack in 2012 and his father, Noel, died of a heart attack three years ago. Last year’s tournament raised a total of £1,200.

Mr Gilmartin, 44, served as one of the referees for the 2013 tournament. That featured 12 teams, but Mr Gilmartin, above, hopes to attract 20 this year.

The 2014 contest will be staged on May 31, and will again take place at Marley Stadium. A prize and a trophy will be presented to the winning team.
