Labour councillor Keith Dredge will defend his Keighley West seat at the May council elections.
The 56-year-old was elected to Bradford Council in 2010 with a 162 majority.
“I live in the ward and always bang the drum for it,” said Coun Dredge, of Diamond Street.
“I’ve enjoyed representing Keighley West during the past four years, and want to be able to carry on the work.”
Coun Dredge’s particular interests include transport – he serves on the West Yorkshire Integrated Transport Authority and chairs the bus scrutiny committee.
He is also a member of council bodies, including Keighley Area Committee and the Area Planning Panel.
Council elections take place on May 22.
