Oakworth Methodist Ladies group will be holding a fashion show by Complete Clothing on Thursday, March 13, starting at 7.30pm which I am sure will be a big success as usual.

The children of Oakworth are currently presenting their 28th pantomime. It is always a good show with plenty of laughs and some very talented children taking part so you will need to book your tickets early if you want to see the show. Performances will be on Friday and Saturday evenings. There will also be a matinee at 2pm on Saturday. Admission is £6 per adult, £4 for a child and £5 for senior citizens. There are still a few tickets so don’t leave it until it is too late.

A youth cafe is now open on Fridays from 5.30pm, why not come along and find out more about their plans for the future The next meeting of Oakworth Village Society will be on Tuesday starting at 7.30pm. Now is your chance to get involved and maybe take on the role of an officer on the committee or maybe just show an interest and find out more about the group’s aims. The speaker will be local resident Andy Wade from the Men of Worth project talking about Keighley’s Old Contemptibles as the year of commemoration for the start of WWI begins. Having heard Andy talk before I can recommend him as an interesting speaker. This will be followed by a ‘bring and share’ supper with a chance to speak to other people with an interest in the village where they live.
