Silsden Local History Group is launching a new project to support villagers interested in researching their family or local heritage in more depth. An informal afternoon session, open to all, will be held once a month at Silsden Town Hall, when resources will be available to share. Chairman David Mason also plans to bring along archive material of Silsden which has already been donated to the group and hopes that this will lead to other items of local interest being brought along and discussed. The first session was held on Tuesday and the next will be on Tuesday, March 25, when people are invited to drop-in between 2pm and 4pm. These afternoons are in addition to the regular monthly evening meetings which have become a popular feature of Silsden life.
