Cyclists from across Keighley and the Worth Valley are being urged to get involved in an arts festival being staged in the run-up to the Tour de France.
A host of activities will take place as part of the Yorkshire Festival 2014, which runs from March 27 until July 6 – when the Grand Depart arrives in the district.
Festival executive producer, Henrietta Duckworth, said: “This is a brilliant celebration of culture and cycling, happening indoors and outdoors in all parts of the county.
“The activities will appeal to riders of all ages and abilities. So if you’re already a cyclist, take part and get involved. If you’re inspired by the Grand Depart coming to Yorkshire but don’t ride, come along to experience everything cycling and the festival has to offer.”
Events will include saddling up to help deliver a yellow baton for a Tour de Brass concert, sharing cycling experiences for a play and cinema screenings. Visit yorkshirefestival.co.uk for details.
