A new machine installed at a Haworth company is proving a boon.
The unit – at Airedale Springs, in Bridgehouse Lane – provides a state-of-the-art measuring system.
A ‘floating’ camera gives ultra-accurate measurements and consistent results.
“Recorded data can be used to produce a report generated in the form of a fully-dimensional drawing of the measured part,” said a company spokesman.
“Customer samples can be measured, a drawing produced and an inspection method created all in one process.
“We are delighted with the system.”
The firm manufactures springs – from bespoke single items to orders for millions – for a wide range of applications.
