One less illegal motorbike will be pestering Keighley residents after Neighbourhood Police seized a trial bike from a 13-year-old boy on the Woodhouse estate last week.

The teenager was issued with a Section 59 warning for anti-social behaviour in August last year, which lasts for 12 months. The boy was then reported as being a nuisance on an off-road bike in the Woodhouse estate on February 27.

And because he had already received a warning, the bike was seized by officers, under the Road Traffic Act.

“Keighley NPT is aware some people are riding bikes without the proper safety equipment and the relevant care required,” a spokesman said. “We will always act on information supplied.”
