Silsden Moor farmer Simon Bennett enjoyed double success at this month’s prime cattle show at Skipton Auction Mart.
His first-prize 555kg Limousin-cross heifer was crowned champion and went on to achieve the day’s leading price of £1,451, when selling to Keelham Farm Shop, Thornton.
And Mr Bennett, of Delph Farm, earned the reserve championship title with his 640kg Charolais-cross steer, which sold for £1,284 to Bradford butcher Paul Binns.
