Keighley churches are joining forces to stage a children’s Easter holiday club.
Volunteers from more than a dozen churches will be involved in the free event, for youngsters aged eight to 11.
The initiative, entitled X:site Keighley Holiday Club, is expected to be one of the biggest children’s events of its kind – organised by the town’s church groups – for years.
The theme of the club, being run in partnership with national charity the Scripture Union, is ‘I’m Amazing’.
“Basically, we’re aiming to have a lot of fun with a serious message,” said event leader, Daniel Mosby.
“We want to show the young people and the families the truth of just how amazing they really are.”
The club will run at Keighley Shared Church from April 22 to 25, between 9am and 3pm. Children do not have to attend every day or for full days.
Activities will include live music, games, an inflatable assault course and trips out. Visit xsitekeighley.org.uk or call/text 07963 147404 for further information.
