A Keighley store has shown it’s all heart.

Pink V Blue has donated designer gear to the nearby British Heart Foundation (BHF) shop.

The stock was surplus to requirements when Pink V Blue relocated into the Airedale Shopping Centre.

“I had quite a lot of stuff I no longer needed – mainly ladies’ designer clothing and accessories, which were either a couple of seasons old, ends of lines or spares,” said store owner, Mark Dale, 47.

“I have got to know one of the assistants at the BHF charity shop in the centre quite well, and decided I’d donate everything to them.

“Another good reason for letting the BHF have the stuff is my future father-in-law has problems with his heart, and the charity does so much to support people like him.”

He handed over eight boxes of items – including tops, skirts and handbags – just before Christmas, and has since donated hoodies and T-shirts.

Wendy Mullaney, the part-time BHF assistant Mark knows, said: “We are delighted to have Mark’s donations, which are all such good quality things.

“It’s not every day we get so many items given to us at once by a business, and it’s good to see one shop in the Airedale Shopping Centre doing so much to help another.”
