A search has been launched for Keighley district’s Mum of the Year.

The Keighley News, in conjunction with the town’s Airedale Shopping Centre, is seeking that special mum who has gone above and beyond the call of duty!

Perhaps she has shown outstanding courage, or battled against adversity.

Or maybe outstanding acts of kindness or selflessness have placed her apart.

Whatever the reason for wanting to nominate her, we would like to hear from you.

Editor Richard Parker said: “Mums are special for many reasons, and with Mother’s Day fast approaching, this is a perfect time to reward yours for all the wonderful things they do.

“If you feel your mum deserves an extra special treat, please put her name forward.”

Shopping centre manager Steve Seymour said: “This is a great way of telling your mum how special she is and how much you love her, and to thank her for being there when you need her, and also when you don’t!

“Every mum is special and unique, and knows our habits and cravings and makes sure, when we fall over, they are there to dust us down and help us back up.

“So make sure you let the Keighley News know all about your special mum.”

A superb bundle of prizes is on offer to the winner.

The Airedale Shopping Centre is providing a fantastic package of gifts, including a bottle of Gucci Premiere perfume from The Fragrance Shop, a spring/summer scarf from Dorothy Perkins, a WH Smith personal organiser, Mother’s Day confectionery from Marks & Spencer, a Coffee Delight coffee and muffin voucher, a Next gift set worth £20, a Thorntons box of chocolates and a free parking voucher for the centre.

And see next week’s edition for the announcement of even more prizes to be won!
