The date has been announced for spring judging in Haw-orth for this year’s Yorkshire in Bloom contest.
Gill Hill, of the Haworth Bloom Makers group, said the judging team will be coming to the village on the morning of April 8.
She added she and her colleagues are still hoping the main summer judging could be conducted before the Tour de France passes through Haw-orth on July 6, to make sure the area is looking its best.
Promotional leaflets to encourage residents and businesses to support Haworth’s competition entry are being printed this week, and will be distributed shortly.
Members of Haworth Bloom Makers stage evening meetings in the village on the first Wednesday of each month.
