Six members of Silsden Youth Council picked up litter from streets during their half-term holidays.
They were supported by traders as they cleaned up in Bradley Road, Heights Lane and Hole Lane.
Youngsters filled eight bags and collected cans and bottles for recycling.
They were accompanied by Mags Croft, the Silsden town councillor who supports the Youth Council, and Youth Council clerk Kevin Boocock.
Coun Croft said: “It was hard work, a long walk and the weather didn’t help, but the Youth Council stayed bright and cheerful.”
A woman passing in her vehicle was so impressed with the young people’s work she donated £20 to Youth Council funds.
