The Friends of Airedale have spruced up the main entrance to the Steeton hospital with some new furniture.

Chairman Eileen Proud said: “The area looks very smart and cleaning is easier because the furniture is moveable and stackable.

“It is already being well used, and we have been receiving a lot of very favourable comments from staff and visitors.”

And to complement the new furniture, volunteers who operate the Friends’ shop have been supplied with attractive new aprons.

The shop opens seven days a week, and all the profits go to the hospital.
