Police are appealing for witnesses after a silver grey Vauxhall Vectra collided with a wall and some roadworks last Wednesday evening.
Officers say the vehicle – which apparently refused to stop for a patrol car on Keighley Road, Skipton – went on to collide with a wall before heading along the A629 towards Cononley Lane Ends where it was involved in a second collision at some roadworks.
Police are keen to trace anyone who was in the area at the time who may have seen the vehicle leaving Skipton at about 7.58pm or who witnessed either of the collisions.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Traffic Sergeant Pete Stringer on 101 or e-mail peter.stringer@northyork shire.pnn.police.uk, quoting incident number 12140039888.
Two men, aged 23 and 37 from Nelson, have been arrested and released on police bail pending further inquiries.
