Keighley police officer Sam Newnham will be pounding a different beat this month.
She is among those taking part in the Keighley BigK 10K to raise money for Manorlands.
The event, on Sunday, March 30, follows a multi-terrain route around the town, starting and finishing in Victoria Park.
Sam, 31, a constable with the town’s Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “It is the first time I’ve taken part in this particular event but I’ve been running for a while and do a lot of races.
“I have recently done the Silverstone half-marathon and I’m tackling the Yorkshire Marathon in October.
“Plus, just before the Keighley BigK, the British military obstacle course takes place in Leeds!”
Sam, who joined the police force in 2008, added: “Over the years I’ve raised money for various charities and I’m delighted to be supporting Manorlands.”
