Staff at a care home are set to walk 20 miles to fund additional entertainment for their residents.
Nine members of staff from Oakworth Manor will walk along the Leeds-Liverpool Canal towpath from the Marquis of Granby pub in Riddlesden to the Bay Horse, Snaygill, and back.
They will carry out the sponsored challenge this Saturday, starting at 9am.
Ingrow resident Nicola Crabtree, the home’s activities co-ordinator, said she and her colleagues want to raise cash to fund residents’ outings and entertainer visits, though they don’t have a specific fundraising target in mind.
