Sales of a Yuletide tipple have resulted in a cracker of a boost for Manorlands.
Oxenhope-based Bridgehouse Brewery produced a special Rudolph's Ruin ale, from which 5p on every pint sold went to the Sue Ryder hospice.
The company hoped to sell about 3,500 pints, but exceeded 5,000 and had to brew more to cope with demand.
Over £250 was raised and the kitty was boosted by brewery co-owner David Halliday, who took part in the Stoop Fell Race above Haworth – dressed as Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer!
A cheque for £335 has now been presented to Manorlands.
Simon Lamb, sales and marketing director at Bridgehouse Brewery, said: “Everyone at the brewery was really pleased with the amount raised and would like to thank those who raised a glass of Rudolph’s Ruin over the festive period and helped such a worthy cause.”
