Plans to build 12 houses off Sycamore Grove in Eastburn will be discussed by Bradford planners today.
An application has been made for outline planning permission for the homes on land south of Greenfield Farm.
Councillors will today only be asked to agree the proposed amount and type of development.
Issues such as access, appearance, landscaping, layout and scale will be debated at a further date.
Objectors have raised concerns regarding drainage, loss of privacy, vehicle access and pressure on school places.
There are also concerns the development could have an adverse effect on wildlife, including deer, bats, foxes and owls.
One resident claims the field is used by nine deer to sleep overnight, forage and have their young.
