Keighley district residents are being urged to celebrate Easter – by giving blood.
NHS Blood and Transplant is staging a series of donor sessions across the region.
Spokeswoman Donna Batty said: “Easter is a time of celebrating new life and what better way to celebrate than to help those in need by donating blood?
“It’s an important time to give, as blood stocks are often more vulnerable around public holidays when people go away or are busy getting out and about as the weather improves.”
Sessions are being held at Victoria Hall in Keighley today and on April 24, from 1.15pm to 3.15pm and 4.15pm to 6.30pm, and at Sutton Village Hall on April 30, from 2pm to 4pm and 5pm to 7.15pm.
Anyone aged 17 to 65, weighing more than 50kg and in general good health could potentially become a donor.
