Plans to build four detached houses in Utley are facing opposition.

Councillors were due to debate the proposals for land off Manor Road at the Keighley and Shipley Area Planning Panel yesterday.

The applicant wants to develop four four-bedroom houses, with proposals recommended for approval by Bradford Council planning officers.

They state the application would retain the open character of this green space and would not have a negative impact on amenities, such as parking, highway safety or community safety.

However, 15 objections to the plans have been submitted. They warn of a loss of urban green space and exacerbated flood risks.

They claim the development would result in noise, pollution and other disruption. They also warn Manor Road is in poor condition and not suitable for construction vehicles.
