Keighley groups are being encouraged to join together to apply for Bradford Council grants.
Keighley Area Committee has so far given out £4,500 through its Connecting Communities programme.
The programme, part of Keighley’s £11,700 annual Community Chest fund, aims to unite groups that would not normally work together.
The money has funded a walks leaflet for Cliffe Castle, bird boxes at Keighley Tarn, First World War memorial activities in Silsden, cricket equipment and disability sports activities, as well as environmental, gardening and Tour de France-related projects.
The committee has also given grants – worth up to £500 each – to more than 20 groups across Keighley constituency.
These have included organisations in Riddlesden, East Morton, Long Lee, Oakworth, Hainworth Wood, Haworth, Utley and central Keighley.
