A Keighley engineering firm is enjoying an export boom.

Dean, Smith & Grace has relaunched the popular Oil Tool Grinder, which is in great demand across the world, with exports heading to countries including China, America and the Middle East.

The original grinder was introduced a decade ago, but an improved version has now been produced by the Pitt Street company.

“Shortly after the launch of the original machine, it quickly became generally accepted within the oil and gas sector that this innovative grinder was head and shoulders above anything else in the market,” said a spokesman for the firm, which is part of the Halifax-based MTTG Group.

“This heavy-duty and rugged grinder has been further improved. It is an example of British engineering at its very best.”

The machines are manufactured, commissioned and tested at the Dean, Smith & Grace and MTTG sites.
