A sixth annual action-packed challenge day is being staged in aid of Manorlands.

The event, organised by the Manorlands Challenge Committee, takes place at the Coniston estate in the Yorkshire Dales on July 3.

Activities will include off-roading, archery, target golf, clay pigeon shooting and falconry.

Four-strong teams will first enjoy breakfast at the Coniston Hotel.

And the day will culminate with a drinks reception, hog roast and awards presentation.

The entry fee is £1,000 per team.

Coniston Hotel director, Louise Bolton, said: “This is a great opportunity to raise money for a local cause in a superb location, with fantastic facilities and a range of exciting sports.”

Sue Ryder regional fundraiser, Rachel Cunningham, said the event continued to go from strength to strength.

“It has raised more than £170,000 for Manorlands in its five-year history.”
