An annual dog show which attracts entrants from across the country is being held in Keighley next week.

Keighley & District Canine Association is staging the event at Victoria Hall, on Easter Monday. The show has 70 classes, for breeds and any variety, and normally features more than 200 dogs.

People from as far afield as Newcastle and Milton Keynes will be attending.

Mrs Dorothy Bailey, the association’s secretary and treasurer, said: “The show has been going for many years and it’s a popular event. We have a lot of regulars who come back each time.”

“Entries are only taken prior to the day but the public is very welcome to attend, although dogs not entered in the show cannot be brought into the hall.”

The show opens at 9am and it runs until about 4pm. Admission is free.
