Two public meetings are being held to outline planned layout changes within a village church.
The vicar of St Andrew’s, Kildwick, the Reverend Robin Figg, will explain the proposals and people will be invited to give their views.
“The scheme is a minor reordering of the central part of the church,” he said.
“Our principal aim is to provide an improved, flexible central sanctuary area to give better space for worship and other events.
“The parochial church council wishes to consult with the church and local community before beginning the formal process of applying for a faculty – church planning permission – for the proposed works.”
The meetings will take place in the church on Sunday, April 27, at 3pm, and the following day at 7pm.
Mr Figg said the plans were ready for presentation to the public after several months of close working with the church architect.
