A KIVCA community worker has supported more than 20 groups across Keighley over the past six months.
Jo Horrox has spearheaded major projects in neighbourhoods including Lawkholme, Highfield, Long Lee and Knowle Park.
She has also helped develop the Friends of Damems, Friends of Keighley (Redcar) Tarn, Cliffe Castle Art Group and Cricket in Schools project.
Jo is also the chairman of Community First in Central ward which has given more than 30 grants to local community groups.
Jo is one of a number of community development workers based in Keighley and funded by Bradford Council.
Each of the workers is employed by a voluntary sector organisation, with Jo’s post managed by KIVCA, Keighley and Ilkley Voluntary and Community Action.
Her recent activities were highlighted in a report on KIVCA to the council’s Keighley Area Committee.
