News from Farnhill, Kildwick

Maundy Thursday, for a service of Holy Communion at 7.30pm; on Good Friday there will be a service of the Liturgy of the Cross at 2pm; on Saturday there will be The Easter Liturgy and First Communion of Easter at 8.45pm; on Easter Day there will be a Family Communion Service at 10am and a Songs of Praise at 6pm.

The Village Pump – the over-50s club – meets in the lower hall at Farnhill Methodist Church from 2pm-3.30pm on Wednesday Farnhill Methodist Church celebrates Easter at the Easter Early Morning Service at Farnhill Pinnacle at 7am followed by tea and hot cross buns at Farnhill Methodist Church. All denominations are invited. At 9am there will be an Easter Morning Communion in the church conducted by Rev Ruth Crompton. The coffee morning held on Saturday raised £208.60 for church funds and £45 for the Gambia Schools Trust Isobel Stirk will give a talk on Friday April 25 at 7.30pm on the Life and Works of Charles Dickens. The talk has been organised by the Farnhill and Kildwick History Group and will be held in the Kildwick and Farnhill Institute. Admission is £3 on the door.
