Lord Mayor of Bradford, Keighley councillor Khadim Hussain, is having a ball.
He is hosting a Parisian Ball, themed to tie in with the Tour de France Grand Depart.
More than 350 guests are expected to join him at the event on May 3 at the Hilton Hotel in Bradford.
The evening of entertainment and fundraising is in support of the Lord Mayor’s charity, Bradford Disability Sport and Leisure.
Coun Hussain said: “I am thrilled so many people have bought tickets for the Parisian Ball – it will give a big boost to our fundraising.
“Some of the athletes from Bradford Disability Sport and Leisure will be joining us, which will give us the opportunity to celebrate their many recent sporting triumphs.”
A limited number of tickets are still available, and organisers welcome sponsorship or donations of items for an auction. Call 01274 434965 or e-mail lordmayorsappeal@bradford.gov.uk for details.
