Budding chefs from Merlin Top Acade-my at Guard House cooked up a treat during a visit to Oakbank School.
Year six pupils spent the morning learning how to make vegetarian lasagna and a potato and sweetcorn chowder.
Hannah Borkala, for Oakbank, said: “The aim of the session was to teach the children some basic cooking skills and how to work together as a team, and it also gave them the opportunity to experience secondary school.
“They all really enjoyed it – apart from the washing up – and were looking forward to taking what they had made home to eat for tea.”
