Oakbank School students in Keighley took time out from usual lessons to tackle a variety of activities during a special ‘Stop the Clock’ event.
Year seven pupils worked with the science department on robotics.
Representatives of the ‘Prison! Me! No Way!’ scheme spoke to year eight youngsters, educating them about the realities of life in jail, and one former prisoner shared his experiences of being behind bars.
Year nine students looked at health and body image with Dove, while year ten worked with the army on problem-solving, teamwork and leadership qualities. A giant inflatable obstacle course was set up.
Hannah Borkala, the school’s marketing and events officer, said the ‘Stop the Clock’ day was a huge success.
“The normal timetable was suspended and the whole school took part in various enrichment activities,” she added.
