A pensioner has died after a fall at his caravan home paralysed him, an inquest has heard.

Albert Benson, 78, fell at Cringles Park in Silsden and appeared to have fractured vertebrae which left him tetraplegic, assistant Bradford coroner Tim Ratcliffe heard yesterday.

He died at Airedale General Hospital on April 23 after his condition declined and, after consultation with his family, treatment was discontinued.

The inquest was adjourned for more inquiries.
