Homeware retailer Dunelm will open its latest store in Keighley this month in a move that has created 70 jobs.

The new 30,000 sq ft store will open at Alston Retail Park on May 22.

It is spread over two floors – a ground floor of 18,500sq ft and a 11,500sq ft mezzanine.

The store will be opened by incoming Keighley mayor Councillor Graham Mitchell, accompanied by Dunelm’s charity mascot Barney the Bear, representing the firm’s nominated charity Barnardo’s.

The outlet will be open seven days a week and will include a coffee shop.

Dunelm chief executive Nick Wharton said: “It takes a lot of hard work, investment and commitment getting a new store up and running.

“We are confident Keighley will continue to play a big part in the continued success of the company, and look forward to introducing local shoppers to our diverse home-wares offering.”
