Cowling Companions will be entertained by the Ritardandos at the Village Hall on Wednesday from 2pm. Admission is £2.50 including home-made refreshments. The Companions will host a coffee morning at the Village Hall on May 9 from 10am-noon. A drink and scone costs £1, and there will be a raffle, cake stall and bring and buy. Yearly subs of £6 are due.
The Companions’ first excursion of the summer will be on June 17 to Pocklington for the market and Burnaby Hall and Gardens. The cost is £17 for members, £19 for non-members. The bus will leave Cowling at 9.30am and Cross Hills at 9.40am. Phone (01535) 632023 with names and to arrange payment. The meeting on June 4 at 2.45pm will be the last weekly meeting until September 3.
Summer meetings will be on the first Wednesday of each month for light exercise and bingo, from 1.20pm. Leaflets for excursions and speakers during 2014 and 2015 can be picked up at the coffee morning.
