Charity fundraiser Hannah Kutny from Keighley is climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in aid of an African clean water project.
The former Oakbank School pupil is now a second year human geography student at Northumbria University, and in August will tackle the famous mountain to raise money and awareness for Dig Deep.
This a grassroots organisation dedicated to providing clean water, sanitation and renewable energy to villages in Africa.
Lasting help includes drilling wells, harvesting rainwater and setting up many other small renewable technologies.
Miss Kutny, 19, needs to raise £2,995 to go on the trip.
“It’s a six-day trek in one of the very few places on earth to encompass every ecological life zone, including tropical jungle, savannah and desert to mountain forests, subalpine plants and the alpine zone,” said Miss Kutny, who completed the Three Peaks walk aged 15 and has also run the Keighley BigK 10K.
Visit mydonate.bt.com and put Hannah Kutny under ‘select fundraiser’ to donate.
