The Bronte Vintage Gathering will again be held in a field above Cullingworth in aid of Manorlands.

The main attraction this year will be a performance by mountain and motorbike stunt legend and ‘all-round showman’ Jez Avery.

There will also be an RAF fly-past, the Pendle Dog Agility Show, lawnmower racing, falconry and a display of classic fire engines.

Each category of exhibits will parade in the arena, and there will also be a fairground, bouncy castles, donkey rides, live bands and Bun-ton’s Digger Driving Experience.

The Bronte Vintage Gathering committee has raised £310,000 during previous events.

Manorlands fundraiser, Matthew Binns, said the Gathering started as a rally for enthusiasts to exhibit their vintage and steam engines and vehicles.

He added: “Although this is still very much part of the Gathering, it has become more of a country show with a wide variety of attractions, making it a great day out for all the family.”

The Gathering will be held on May 10 and 11 at the Manorlands Field in Haworth Road. Entry is free on the Saturday night, when two bands – Night Patrol and Pog Mo Thoin – will perform. Visit bronte-vintage-gathering.co.uk for further information.
