Names of the artists who will be creating giant, unmissable works of landscape artwork in and around the the Worth Valley have now been revealed.

All the artists will be contributing to Fields of Vision, one of the main commissions for Yorkshire Festival 2014 – the cultural festival now taking place to celebrate this summer’s Tour de France.

Fields of Vision is a 65-mile-long land art trail, which originated in an idea put forward by the Worth Valley Young Farmers group.

Rural regeneration company Pennine Prospects, which is co-ordinating the initiative, has released the full list of participating artists and sites.

The first artwork, created by Simon Manfield in Stanbury, has already been completed. This features a huge outline drawing of a shepherd beckoning to a sheepdog.

The other local sites and artists are Trudi Entwistle (Stanbury Reser-voir), Louise Lockhart (Oxenhope), Steve Messam (Stanbury) and Raz ul Haq (Worth Valley).

The trail will be finished by June 5.
