Keighley councillor Khadim Hussain will attend a Bradford City fire disaster memorial service in his capacity as Lord Mayor of Bradford.
Coun Hussain and other civic leaders will remember the 56 people who died in the incident at Valley Parade 29 years ago.
The 30-minute service will start at 11am on Sunday at the memorial sculpture in Centenary Square, and will be attended by relatives and friends of those who lost their lives or were injured.
There will be a minute’s silence before the Lord Mayor lays a wreath on behalf of the city and the district.
Coun Hussain said: “It is important we take time each year on May 11 to remember those who died or were injured by the tragic events of that day.”
