Stroke survivors and carers in Sutton are being invited to share their experiences.

The Stroke Association has joined forces with North Yorkshire County Council to hold two focus groups to coincide with Action on Stroke Month.

They want people’s feedback on their stroke recovery, along with any suggestions about how to improve the service purchased by Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven Clinical Commissioning Group.

Events will take place at Sutton Village Hall tomorrow and Craven Nursing Home in Keighley Road, Skipton, on Tuesday. Both run from 2pm to 4pm.

Nicola Nutton, Craven information, advice and support co-ordinator from the Stroke Association, said: “At the Stroke Association, we believe everyone has the right to make the best recovery possible from stroke.

“The focus groups are important to enable us to hear about stroke survivors and carers’ experiences of community care and get their suggestions, feedback and ideas on how things can be improved.”

Refreshments will be provided but places need to be pre-booked. Contact Gil Evans on 07778 489348.
