Chin! Chin! Haworth is set to host its first Gin Festival this year as novices and enthusiasts alike are invited to sample exotic brands of the legendary spirit including Mason’s Yorkshire Gin, SloeMotion and Gin Mare.
And doubtless Branwell’s ghost will hover over cocktail-making lessons at The Bronte School Rooms during the event on June 21.
Live music will provide an eclectic soundtrack to the event, which is part of Haworth Festival.
Industry experts will be on-hand to offer gin tasting, gin masterclasses and educational talks on the history of the spirit, including a deconstructed tasting of nine traditional gin botanicals in their raw form.
The Gin Festival has previously been in Manchester, Newcastle and Leeds and sold out in advance of the event. It is partnered with a selection of renowned worldwide gin brands to give fans a chance to sample and experiment with their wares.
The event will run from 5pm to 11.30pm, and tickets are available for £5 plus booking fee.
