A clash of titans takes place this Saturday when Denholme's 2nd XI cricket team take on Haworth in a local derby on home turf. Play starts at 2pm and the matchball sponsors are Denholme Post Office and Tommy Finn. A cricket tea with classic sandwiches is also available for purchase by spectators.
Tonight is bingo night at Denholme Mechanics Institute where the free night of fun begins in the Blue Room at 7.30pm. Cash prizes, a raffle and refreshments are on offer at the over 18s event, to which adults can bring their own alcohol. More details available on (01274) 833521.
Denholme Gala’s young king and queen will be picked during a glittering disco at the town’s Mechanics Institute tomorrow. Girls and boys aged nine to 11 are invited to the free event from7-9pm, where the little Flower Girl will also be picked from those aged three to five years.
Refreshments are also free and the Gala itself takes place on July 5.
