Votes are being counted today in Keighley after electors went to the polls.

Bradford Council elections took place yesterday, with a total of 35 candidates doing battle in the Keighley area’s six wards.

Every major party was represented.

The count is being carried out at the town’s leisure centre and results will be posted on our website as they’re received.

In the South Craven area, three wards are being contested, with a total of eight candidates vying for seats on Craven Council.

Results from the European parliament elections, also held yesterday, will not be known until Sunday.
