A light aircraft has crashed at Oxenhope airfield.

Early reports suggest the two-seater flipped over at the end of one of the moorland airstrip's two runways.

There are not believed to be any serious injuries.

Four fire appliances from across West Yorkshire – plus a technical rescue vehicle and support team – attended initially when the call was received this afternoon, together with police and ambulance crews.

But a fire service spokesman said one pump had since been stood down.
