Organisers of Haworth Festival are looking to build on last year’s successful programme, with even more events this year.

Over 11 days at the end of June the festival will feature some of the best local talent around.

The event starts on Thursday June 19, when Andy Kershaw, the legendary BBC radio presenter presents: “The Adventures Of Andy Kershaw” at Haworth's Old Schoolroom.

There will be an opening party to which everyone is invited at 5.30pm on Friday June 20, followed by an Americana evening with The Haley Sisters and The Ginjammers at 8pm. Both of these events are also in the Old Schoolroom.

Other events during the festival include the official launch of the new bandstand in Central Park, an Art Trail, “Friller” a play about Lily Cove, a showing of the film “12 Years A Slave”, a folk day, the first Haworth Gin Festival, the third Haworth Zombie Run and the second Haworth Ukulele Group Extravaganza.
