Groups in Denholme, Cullingworth, Harden and Wilsden are being urged to apply for cash from Bradford Council.

Groups in Crossflatts are also eligible for up to £500 from Shipley Area Committee’s Community Chest fund.

Cash is available for community projects that will benefit residents in neighbourhoods across the Shipley constituency.

Applications are particularly welcome for new projects, innovative schemes and groups that have previously not received money.

Ongoing costs such as venue hire and staffing will only be funded through a start-up grant for new organisations.

Groups are unlikely to receive money for computer equipment, websites or trips, excepting exceptional circumstances.

Groups applying for money must supply copies of their constitution and, apart from new groups, their accounts.

Groups active in other parts of the district, including Keighley, can apply for grants from their own area committee. Deadlines vary depending which area.
